 The UK Rural Studies Program (formerly the TVA Rural Studies Program) is located at the University of Kentucky, College of Agriculture. DAVID FRESHWATER is the Program Manager for UK Rural Studies. He is also a full professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, University of Kentucky. His main area of research is the analysis of economic development strategies and policy for rural areas of North America. David was previously a senior economist for the Joint Economic Committee of Congress and has been a consultant to a number of organizations, including the OECD in Paris.
